Traditional Photography
Shooting 35 mm film
While attending UHCL, I learned how to shoot, process film, and enlarge in a darkroom. This nostalgic process quickly captivated my heart. There is something so endearing and gratifying about spending hours in a darkroom and producing well-executed prints.

I loved Intro to Darkroom so much that I decided to take the Advanced Darkroom where I got to focus on a semester-long portfolio project. For this project, I chose to shoot in light-controlled environments, have one subject, and the focus was on establishing dark, moody, and abnormal photographs.
This semester I am currently working on a project that represents my Mexican American culture. I want to present photos that portray our heritage, traditions, festivities, and lifestyle. Mexicans are vibrant, spiritually passionate, hardworking, proud, and love to celebrate themselves and their families. Our roots run deep in this country and I want to showcase a glimpse at what it means to Mexican American/Chicano. Viva Mexico!
